I think I may become obsessed with Adam Young from Owl City. His blog is absolutely fantastic. He has insight, and his way of wording things is exactly to my liking. He's also hilarious. You need to read this. And also the most beautiful poem I've read in a long time. It's incredible how he can so eloquently say things that make your mind go on flights of fancy they might not have gone on.
I wasn't going to continue blogging, I thought it was going to make me self centered, but I read Notes by Sumire and she inspired me to continue. She talks about important things, things that we need to think about. Such as race, abortion and Christianity. Inspiring really. So I thought I would jump on the band wagon.
Today is my mom's birthday and I would have to say that of all the people in my life, she is my favorite. She has been my best friend and confidante, and I love her with all my heart. It's odd to be growing up and moving out and leaving her, but no matter what, I know she loves me. That kind of unconditional love is really incredible. To know that I have the ability to make her happy or sad, and she has the potential to make me happy or sad. It's a responsibility to love someone in a way. I think we all get insecure in others' love for us. But praise God, they aren't the ones that we get our fulfillment from. And if they are, they will probably do a lousy job of it. Even the best of friends can screw you over. But Jesus is the only one who will never leave us or forsake us. And I've found that to be true. My best friends both pulled me over coals at different times, and Jesus was the one that was steady and true. I love Him, and I want Him with all of me.
