Still Alive

I wrote that blog title without really thinking, but it is fitting. The last week was insane and busy, but now that I think about it, the title has more to do with spirituality and emotions than I first realized. I'll explain.
Our church has an international bible conference ever six months. They are always very refreshing and we have a lot of men who preach very well. But the seminars start at 9 am and end at 12 am and then start again at 7 (pm). So by the end of the week, we're all pretty worn out. This last conference though, was one of the best in the last few years. The theme was the Discipleship Mandate, and how Jesus said to make disciples of all the nations. The preaching was incredible and there was a fire that I haven't felt in a while. Our church has come away with a passion to do more and that is what it's all about. God is so faithful. We get lost in our little worlds, our little problems, but He always reminds us and brings us back around to the call to save souls and the understanding that surprise, surprise...it's not about us. :) And it's not. I'm so grateful for that too. So I'm alive, and breathing. Spiritually as well as physically. He awakens me each and every day with something new.
"If man glories, let him glory in this: that he understands Me and knows Me." Jeremiah 9:24

  1. Amen! How I love the fact that He never stops refreshing His children with new beauties of Himself.
