A Disposition of the Heart

My best friend had The Saltwater Room by Owl City as her ringtone and I finally figured out what song it was. Such a beautiful song.  It's been floating around in my head since then, and now that's all I want to sing or listen to. Too bad I love music so much, I think I'm going to spend all my money on it. :)

I'm reading the book Through Gates of Splendor, and you really ought to read it. It's so inspiring to read about missionaries in the 40's and 50's. And such an incredible story. The passion and fire the young men had is sadly lacking in most of the teens I know.  Oh well. I still know a couple fantasticly on fire people that inspire me to let go of all the little insecurities and proud downfalls that hold me back.  And amazingly enough, blogs themselves have some awesome people running them. Like this. I love reading about things that are beyond me, it's a good reminder to us all that we're not the only humans on earth
Best book.
The title of the blog comes from a part in my Bible(I have a study Bible) that says joy is a disposition of the heart. How profound is that? I know people that say(after I ask them how they are), "Oh I'm fine, pretty happy.." But in their deepest heart of hearts, I wonder if they're joyful? It's a hard feeling to bring just through yourself, but I'm so happy to know that my God gives me joy, just because. I hope YOU have a joyous day and a wonderful week.
