With the sweetness of cherries and the slight nutty undertone of almonds, life is treating me kindly. Everything is zingy, and mellow, bright and muted. Learning to take joy in the small things again, not care about the little things and grow through the hard things. Responsibility, Paying bills........ But again, cherry almond is my life. And I'll cling to consecrating my life to Jesus each and every day. 1 Chronicles 29 speaks of giving our jewels to the temple of God and rejoicing at the willingness of our own selves to give. I give my life, and I will rejoice for God is faithful to come through with an outstretched and mighty arm. (on a side note, i know a guy with the last name of almand and he has red hair... this post has nothing to do with him. although it's ironic)
There are so many things to pull our eyes away from Jesus. But how glorious it is to rest in His victory and take joy in His salvation! I am alive. And I'm learning, it's not about me. And I smile. Because my life is cherry almond everything.
